Everyone would like to „hack” into somebody’s PC. Or did you just FORGOT 😉 your own password 😉
Well, now it’s simple with this little bootable app called Kon-boot. I won’t give a link here because it’s not free. You can google it yourself.
How it works?
First of all Kon-boot doesn’t allow you to log in only to Windows OS without the password. It can also log into some Linux distributions or MAC OS. The full list look like this (and still growing):
- Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 (v.275)
- Windows Vista Business SP0
- Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
- Windows Vista Ultimate SP0
- Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
- Windows XP
- Windows XP SP1
- Windows XP SP2
- Windows XP SP3
- Windows 7
- Gentoo 2.6.24-gentoo-r5
- Ubuntu 2.6.24.3-debug
- Debian 2.6.18-6-6861
- Fedora 2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i6862
After you burn Kon-boot on a CD-ROM (and place it inside your PC :P) it will automatcally start your OS but during this boot it will modify your OS’s kernel so it won’t prompt you for password. Just choose any user (on linux you have to operate as „kon-usr”). The user will also get all admin rights right away.
Note that no files are being modified on the HDD. Kernel is modified on the fly just during this only boot.
I can confirm that this software works fine on Windows 7
